Late afternoon, the golden hour, I walked to the Historic Hotel Baudy in Giverny, France. Hotel Baudy is where the painters that came to Giverny to be with Monet would stay and the Hotel set up beautiful, wild gardens of their own and provided a studio for the artists. This bistro table setting was in their garden and the light on it was so fantastic that I had to paint it.
