Life Was Good, Circa 1957
Artist
Tara Moorman
Medium
Painting - Watercolor On Arches
Description
This is a portrait of my mom, brother, dad and me. What inspired me most about this image was my parents' hands, Dad's strong hands holding me with such a feeling of security and Mom's petite hands lovingly hugging my brother reminding him of his true home. It reminded me of the quote from Tami Lynn Kent, "Ancient story, mothers hold their children close and teach them about themselves, while fathers hold their children up to the sky and teach them about their relationship to the world."
